Date

Description

An archaeological survey was undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2024 in advance of the development of a new house, access and soakaway at Eabost, Isle of Skye. Fieldwork was undertaken between 2nd and 5th December 2024. The work took place in largely wet and windy conditions. The site was surveyed and the three structures previously identified were recorded in their current condition. In addition, three enclosures and two associated walls were recorded. Three walls to the west of the site were also identified and recorded, these were likely to be the ephemeral remains of further enclosures. <1> Trenches were subsequently excavated to characterise the structural remains - see EHG6377.
