Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2025 in advance of the erection of 49 residential units at Site H, Slackbuie, Inverness. Fieldwork was carried out between the 24th March and 4th April 2025. Five pit features were recorded across the development area, each of which contained a single fill. No finds material was recovered. It was anticipated that a programme of post-excavation analyses would be carried out. This would likely concentrate on the processing of the soil samples recovered from the pit features with the aim of recovering dateable material. <1>
