Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2025 ahead of a new house development at Balloch, Inverness. The requirement for archaeological works arose due to the location of the development site within the inventory boundary of the Battle of Culloden. The archaeological works were carried out on 24th July 2025 during which topsoil was stripped across the house footprint. No archaeological features or finds were encountered. No further archaeological works were recommended. <1>
