Description
A walkover survey was undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2015 in areas between Knockie and Garrogie Lodges, ahead of work on a proposed upgrades
to electric cable lines around Garrogie. The proposed line was to provide a grid connection to hydro-electric schemes in the Wester Drummond area, running between Knockie Lodge and Garrogie Lodge, with new branches to the north and south. Twenty-seven features were noted during the desk-based assessment; thirty features were noted on the ground altogether, some of which were spread over large areas. Recommendations were made to mitigate these features as far as possible. If some features need to be effected further recommendations were made as to appropriate further action. <1>
