(NH 6397 9124) Enclosure (NR)
OS 25"map, (1967)
Set into a S-facing slope is a stone-walled, subcircular enclosure with a level interior, noted by the RCAHMS as a 'circle'. It measures about 13.5m NW-SE by about 11.5m transversely between the centres of a wall about 2.0m wide all round. A gap in the W arc denotes the entrance. The wall is sharply defined and appears as a series of short straights. This may indicate that it is a comparatively recent structure, possibly associated with a nearby croft, or it may be a hut mutilated by much later use.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909; Visited by OS (N K B) 20 October 1969.
No change to the previous report.
Published survey (1:2500) revised.
