Full Description

Hut circle measuring 11m diameter between wall centres with an entrance gap in the S. There are some contemporary stone clearance heaps in the immediate vicinity.
Surveyed at 1/10,560. Visited by OS (J M) 11 June 1975.

No change Visited by OS (J M) 4 September 1980.

A desk-based assessment and walkover survey was undertaken by CFA Archaeology in 2017 of the proposed Garvary Wind Farm development site.

Site 10: Field survey found that the hut circle survives as a very low relief circular bank up to 2-3 m wide and little more than 0.3 m high in heather cover. The entrance was not
obvious and no obvious clearance heaps were noted in the surrounding heather moorland; likely as result of the vegetation cover at the time of the survey. <1>
