Full Description

ND01NW 11 0180 1793.
On the SW slopes of Caen Hill close by a deserted croft, is a denuded stone-walled hut. It is built up on the slope, and measures internally 12.0m NW-SE by 9.0m within a wall of indeterminate width, which has been robbed for stones, and which is overlaid by a ruined field wall contemporary with the croft. The entrance gap is in the SE on the longer axis. Some contemporary stone clearance heaps occur on a heather-covered terrace to the NW of the hut, but recent cultivation surrounds the hut.
Surveyed at 1:2500 and 1:10 560.
Visited by OS (N K B) 20 October 1976.
