Full Description

A hut circle at Leathadbreac, recorded by the OS as hut circle 'A'.

Centred on NH 623 966, within a small area of contemporary cultivation marked by stone clearance heaps, is a settlement of three oval hut circles (A - C).
'A' measures 13.0m NW-SE by 12.0m NE-SW between wall centres. The entrance gap is in the SE. Just S of it is a stony mound c4.0m in diameter, possibly a clearance heap, overlies the wall.
'B' measures 11.5m NW-SE by 9.0m between wall centres with an entrance gap in the SE.
'C' measures 9.5m SSE-NNW by 8.5m between wall centres with an entrance gap in the SSE.
