Full Description

NH69NE 20 663 958.

Hut circle, 9m diameter, and enclosure, noted during pre-afforestation survey.
D Ross 1983.

The hut circle at NH 6634 9581 is almost totally obscured by peat, a depression in the walling on the ESE indicating the entrance. The enclosure at NH 6639 9582 is oval and lies on the edge of a terrace. It measures 7.5m N-S by 12.0m E-W within tumbled walling on the W and S. Almost certainly prehistoric in date, the hut circle and enclosure are in proximity to several clearance cairns to the N.
Information from D W Ross, S E Finlay and P Ashmore 1983, 5 (see archive, MS/578/1)

Note: Location based on Lidar image. <!>

Note: A group of possible clearance cairns are visible on Lidar at approximately NH66399 95905 (TB 2/12/24)
