Full Description

NH69NE 4 698 991.

Centred on NH 698 991 is a settlement of three hut circles (A - C) accompanied by a minor field system. The huts are levelled-up and set back into the slope, and are heather-covered.
'A' and 'B' are much reduced, surviving as circular platforms, 9.0m and 6.5m across respectively, with some peripheral stone in evidence. The entrances are no longer discernible.
'C' measures 6.5m by 5.5m across internally, and has an entrance in the SE, on the line of the long axis. The wall is up to 0.9m high in the NE half but elsewhere practically depleted to interior level; a wall width of about 1.5m is estimated.
The minor field system comprises a scatter of stone clearance heaps along the slope, with some indication of lynchets. There are no measureable plots.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
Visited by OS (J M) 27 August 1980.
