Full Description

OS 6-inch map, 1962 shows two undescribed pecked circles at NC 7778 2675 and NC 7773 2675.
These features are situated on a S-facing hillslope 200m from the depopulated township of Riasg (NC72NE 4). The eastern structure, a rectangular footing 9m x 4m and stone built, is probably contemporary with the township. The other is an amorphous turf-covered pile of stones 13m x 7.5m; one stone appears to have been set up, standing to 1.1m in height. The age and purpose of this feature cannot be determined. Run-rig can be seen in the vicinity.
Visited by OS (JB) 8 March 1977.
