Halmadie: A thatched house {at NC 6960 3136} on the E side of Halmadie Burn. It is one storey high and in very poor repair. (Name Book compiled c.1873.)
Name Book (Sutherland).
Cleared 1814-19.
J Prebble 1963.
An abandoned minor township remaining in about ten building footings, ranging in size from 6m by 3m to 28m by 4m, and in several ruinous enclosures. Narrow-rig cultivation is present.
