Full Description
Foundations of rectangular structures, dykes and enclosures noted during a pre-afforestation survey by J Harden and J Wordsworth in 1990. Centred at NC570 245 in an area c.100m N-S by 100m W-E, c.100m NNE of settlement area NC52SE0005. Complex of grass-covered rectangular foundations of structures with associated dykes and enclosures on a NW facing grassy slope bounded on the E by a burn flowing down to the Allt Doir a Mheathais;
From N-S:
1. Rectangular structure orientated NW-SE on W side of burn c.8m long, 2m wide with an internal division c.3m from the N end, c.0.15m high.
2. Rectangular structure oriented NW-SE on E side of burn some 10m upsteam from (1) c.8m long, 2m wide, no obvious internal divisions c.0.15m high.
3/4 Two rectangular structures c.8m apart, with the remains of a dyke running between them, some 30m SE of (2). 3. Length c.4m, width c.1.5m, height c.0.1m; 4, length c.6m, width c.2m, height c.0.1m. <1>
