Full Description

NC36NE 55 3765 6655.

A longhouse, within a rectangular enclosure.
Information from Dr C S Sandeman, Durness, to Ordnance Survey, 14 March 1967.

An early modern, turf-covered roughly rectangular enclosure measuring 24m by 22m and 0.4m in average height. A footing 11m by 3.5m on the W side of the enclosure may be the remains of a dwelling hut but as the SE end is completely open, it is possibly just a sub-division of the enclosure.
Visited by OS (JB) 28 April 1980.
