(NH 6394 9113) Enclosure (NR)
OS 1:10,000 map, (1971)
An enclosure, 30' in diameter within a bank 5' - 6' thick. The 2'6" wide entrance is in the SSE.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1911.
A circular stone-walled hut (noted by previous OS field investigator in 1963 as an enclosure) set into a wooded S-facing slope, and measuring
c.9.5m in diameter between the centres of a wall spread to c.2.0m all round. Occasional outer facing stones, but no inner facing stones, are discernible. The entrance was probably in the ESE where there is an ill-defined gap. There is no trace of an associated field system. Surveyed at 1:2500 (OS {W D J}).
Visited by OS (W D J) 10 June 1963 and (N K B) 20 October 1969.
No change.
Survey revised at 1:2500.
Visited by OS (J B) 9 September 1980.
