Full Description

NC73SE 6 7668 3113.

(NC 7668 3113) Enclosure (NR).
OS 6"map, (1963)

This is a hut-circle found during field investigation (OS {EGC}). The position, high up in gentle-sloping even ground approaching a water-shed, is particularly exposed. The only sign of associated cultivation is six low stone clearance mounds nearby. The hut, well-defined, is 12.0 by 11.0m inside a peat-silted wall reduced to 0.3m high and spread on average to 2.0m broad. An entrance from the NE has two lining slabs, slightly displaced, in its north edge.
Revised at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (EGC) 18 May 1961 and (JM) 17 February 1977.
