Full Description

A circular hut platform, measuring 11m NW- SE by 9m across, heather-covered land with very few stones visible.
(NC 7578 6479) A circular, grassy platform, 7.5m in diameter, with stones in its bank and possible features within.
R J Mercer 1981.

At NC 757 648, on a W facing slope adjacent to a minor deserted settlement (NC76SE 28), are two similar hut circles. The more northerly measures 7.5m N-S by 6.5m E-W, and the other is 6.5m N-S by 5.5m E-W, each within a heather-covered wall up to 0.3m high, and spread to a width of 1.5m. The entrance in both cases is in the S, but this arc is mutilated. There is evidence of later structures within huts, but no asosciated cultivation is apparent.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (N K B) 12 August 1981.
