Full Description

Centred on NC 733 527, along a west facing slope, is a settlement of 4 hut circles (A-D) in association with a field system. All the huts are much reduced and peat covered. The huts in order A to D measure internally 6.5m by 5.0m, 10.0m by 8.5m, 6.5m by 5.0m, and 8.0m by 7.0m; entrances, ill defined, are in the south quarter on the line of the long axis. The walls are spread from between 1.5m and 2.0m. The field system is denoted in stone clearance heaps, spaced 10.0m to 15.0m apart on average, interspersed by sporadic rickles and banks of cleared stone; a cultivation plot 20.0m by 15.0m was noted.
