(NC 8662 0396) Hut Circle (NR) OS 25"map, (1970)

A hut circle and field system discovered and surveyed at 1:2500.
Visited by OS (E G C) 7 April 1962.

Situated on a dry rise this circular stone-walled hut is 9.0m in diameter within a low turf-covered wall spread to 2.5m; there is a probable entrance in the E arc.
About 200m to the WNW on a gentle, SE-facing slope is a small contemporary field system 1.5 hectares in area. It comprises several indistinct field plots, 30.0m by 20.0m average size, delineated by numerous stone clearance heaps, some lynchets and some wasted field walls.
Revised at 1/10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 21 August 1975.
