Full Description

NC75SW 43 741 548.

Centred at NC 741 548 on a SW facing, moorland slope, is a field system occupying 1ha, and comprising a number of stone clearance heaps, some 10m - 20m apart, and occasional lynchets and stony banks. One measurable cultivation plot is 20m by 10m. No hut circles can be indentified with certainty, but at NC 7420 5488 on the E edge of the system is a vague, slightly elevated platform, overgrown with heather and peat, which may be the amorphous remains of a hut. It measures 9.5m overall diameter and less than 0.1m high, with a small amount of rubble stone discernible around the periphery. No entrance or wall faces are visible.
Visited by OS (N K B) 29 January 1979.
