('A' : NC 7217 3100 'B' : NC 7221 3093) Unannotated circles
OS 6"map, (1963)

Two circular enclosures (A and B) found during field investigation. Visited by OS (E G C) 15 May 1961.

These features together with a further hut circle 'C' lie within an enclosure of 18th/19th century type on a gentle NW-facing slope. 'A' is a hut circle with an inner face of intermittent slabs on edge. It measures 10.3m in diameter within a turf-covered wall about 2m wide and 0.6m high. The entrance is in the SE. Later field clearance has been dumped on it in places, and the wall is overlaid by the later enclosure in the NE.
'B' is a recent structure, possibly a lambing pen, 3m in diameter and 0.5m high with an entrance in the SE. Its wall is of bare stones and is crudely constructed.
'C' has a thick heather covering. It measures 10m SW-NE by 9m within a wall 0.5m high and spread to 2m. The entrance is in SW.
A number of clearance heaps occur within the later enclosure, but some of bare stone are undoubtedly later than the huts and elsewhere additional clearance appears to have been added to several existing heaps. A stretch of linear clearance within this area is of uncertain date. No plots are visible.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 9 May 1977.
