Full Description

NC74NW 7 7027 4577.

(NC 7027 5477) A beaker, found in a short cist, in a gravel pit by the roadside at Woody Knowe (NC 7023 4570), about 1911, was donated to NMAS in 1934 by the finder, Evander MacKay, 15 Wilton Road, Edinburgh. In 1960, Mr MacKay indicated the gravel quarry at the north end of Woody Knowe, and stated that he thought the date of discovery was around 1908. Beaker: Clarke's N/NR type: Acc No: EG 66.
