About two dozen field clearance heaps covering an area of about 120m NW-SE by 50m NE-SW, on a low ridge. They are generally 3.6m to 4.2m in diameter but one, near the burn at the north end of the ridge measures 6.4m by 2.4m (See also NC75SW 68).
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909; Visited by OS (J L D) 5 May 1960.

These stone clearance heaps, 10m - 15m apart, are of the type usually associated with hut circles. There is heather-covered embanking at the foot of the slope in the east and south.
