Full Description
NC70SE 34 7628 0343.
NC 7628 0343; NC 7634 0348. Two hut circles ('A' and 'B'); contemporary cultivation is marked by some linear stone clearance just to the E of hut 'A'.
'A' is 10.0m in diameter between centres of a now broken boulder wall in which only one or two inner and outer facing stones could be definitely identified, indicating a thickness of 1.5m. An entrance is in the SE. Abutting on outside of W arc and set on a slight downslope with no attempt at levelling are the possible footings of a sub-oval annexe measuring 9.0m E-W by 7.0m with an entrance in the W.
'B' survives as a low band of peat-overgrown rubble around W half and almost complete depletion elesehere. It had a probable diameter of 13.0m between walls centres and no evident entrance.
Surveyed at 1:10 000.
Visited by OS (J M) 12 August 1975.
