Reniskan: The name appears to be placed in a position corresponding to the relavent ruins on OS 6" map, but no buildings are shown, only Arable.

The footings and remains up to 1.0m high of at least eight buildings ranging in size from 5.5m by 4.5m to 30.0m by 4.0m together with associated enclosures and the remains of two kilns.
Visited by OS (R D L) 27 April 1964.

A township, comprising eight unroofed buildings, five enclosures, part of a ring-dyke and field walls, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1879, sheet lxxxviii). It is similarly shown, with the addition of a further unroofed building, on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1963).
