Centred NC 794 148 Two stone-walled hut circles ('A' and 'B') were discovered during field investigation on the upper slopes of a SW facing hillside, intruded on by 18th/19th century abandoned settlement.
'A' (NC 7942 1477) just inside the later settlement area, remains as an overgrown platform, about 15.5m diameter, with a slight scarp in the SE half formed by levelling into the slope. No entrance is apparent.
'B' (NC 7945 1482) in open moorland, is about 10.0m NNE-SSW by 9.0m within a wall surviving as a low, overgrown band of rubble spread to 2.0m. There is an entrance from the SSW.
There are no signs of contemporary cultivation.
Surveyed at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (J M) 18 December 1975.
