Full Description

At NC 7403 0949 and at NC 7402 0943, on a SE - facing hillside, are two hut circles (A and B respectively) accompanied by a minor field system. The huts are heather-covered and the walls spread. The entrances are in the SE, the line of the main axis. They measure 9.5 by 8.5m (A) and 10.5 by 8.5m (B) within a wall 2.0m broad and 0.2m high.
The minor field system is denoted by rickles and heaps of stone clearance the latter spaced on average 10.0 to 20.0m apart; no measureable plots are discernible. There are tenuous indications of intruding strip cultivation abandoned in the 18/19th century. To the NNW are several more field clearance heaps.
Surveyed at 1:10 000.
Visited by OS (J M) 2 April 1981.
