Hut Circle (NR) OS 1:10,000 map, (1970)

Hut circle marked on 1st ed OS.

A hut circle now reduced to a scarp 0.4m high.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909.

Published survey (25") revised. Visited by OS (RDL) 30 6 1963.

This oval stone-walled hut circle is on rising ground open to the W and in a modern field. It is turf- covered, and is about 9.0m N-S by 7.5m inside a severely reduced wall of vague spread 1.5-2.0m. The entrance of simple form is probably in the S arc. There is no evidence of contemporary cultivation.
Revised at 1:2500. Visited by OS (J M) 4 August 1976.

The site of this hut circle is now within a somewhat dilapidated yard and on vertical AP evidence would appear to have been destroyed sometime before 1999-2001 [IS-L 23/05/2019].
