Full Description

A flat round bronze brooch, 1.2 ins in diameter, with incised decorations, was found near the laundry (NC 8512 0102), Dunrobin by Mr Baxter and is in Dunrobin Museum probably received in 1879. (Acc No 1879.3).

A photograph of the brooch was forwarded to the HER by a participant in a Community Timeline course, run by ARCH. <1>

The brooch was catalogued during an inventory of Dunrobin Castle Museum's collection in 2019 by ARCH. Listed under Acc. No. 1879.3. It was on display in case 22, shelf C with pin X118 (see MHG9780). <2>
