Full Description
NH79NW 2 704 988.
Where the road from Strath Carnack joins Loch Tollie, several tumuli and cairns can be seen.
It is the scene of an old-time battle ground.
W Calder 1949.
Loch Tollie was not located but the area where Strath Tollie joins the road from Strath Carnack (centred NH 7040 9882) was perambulated. Only the usual stone clearance heaps were encountered.
Visited by OS (W D J) 9 April 1964.
The only mounds seen in the area are stone clearance heaps, almost certainly associated with depopulation. The tradition of a battle could not be verified locally.
Visited by OS (N K B) 10 November 1969.
