Limited amount of slag reported from Broch excavations - HAW 7/2003
NC50SW 4 500 024.
On lands of Durcha (NC500024) iron-slag was found by author. It seemed to be stray pieces from a higher level. About 1.5 miles to NE of Durcha, is an eminence called Sron nan Iarrunachdan (NC 522031) - the Headland of the Iron-Workings but no slag, waste or furnace-waste has been observed on or near it.
