Full Description

NC50SE 35 5852 0032.

At NC 5852 0029 and NC 5851 0036 are two stone-walled hut circles (A and B) in association with a minor field system. The situation is rising moorland facing the W. The field system comprises mounds and rickles of stone clearance and one or two lynchets near the huts, though cultivation would appear to extend up the slope to the E, where there is some wasted walling. The huts, turf and heather-covered and much reduced, appear of similar build.
'A' is circa 11.0m N-S by 9.5m internally within a wall spread to 2.5m wide with one or two large facing stones. The entrance gap is in the south arc.
'B' is circa 7.5m in diameter within a wall spread to 2.5m wide; an entrance is from the SE.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
Visited by OS (J M) 21 July 1976.
