(NC 5819 0232) Hut Circle (NR)
OS 1:10,000 map, (1970)

The turf outline of a circular enclosure was found during field work. Visited by OS (R D L) 4 July 1963.

This is a peat-covered stone walled hut circle set on a change of slope in a hillside open to the SW. It measures internally 10.0m NNW-SSE by 8.5m within a robbed and disturbed wall. An entrance, apparently clubbed on the W side, is from the SSE.
Associated cultivation is restricted to a small area of cleared ground on the immediate vicinity of the hut with one or two clearance heaps. Some stones have been dumped in a gulley on the north side of the cleared area.
Revised at 1:10,000.
Visited by OS (J M) 29 July 1976.

This site was visited and photographed during a walkover survey in April 2009. <1>
