Full Description

(NC 4721 5603) Hut Circle (NR) OS 6"map, (1961)

NC 4721 5603. On a shelf on the E side of Loch Hope is a well-preserved hut circle set into a slight slope. It is 10.5m in diameter within a wall 1.2m thick, which attains a maximum height of 0.5m in places. There is an entrance in the W side.

This hut circle measures 11.5m in internal diameter and has an entrance, as noted, from the W; its wall survives in an inner facing, well defined and up to 0.7m high, backed by rubble spread 2.0m to 2.5m broad. North of the hut are several field clearance heaps.
