(NC 2193 3422) Cairn (NR) OS 6"map, (1967)
This apparently undisturbed cairn stands on a slight rocky eminence. It measures 35 ft E-W by 25 ft transversely and is about 5 ft high. It is built against a rock to the S. RCAHMS 1911.

A well-preserved cairn, 15.5m in diameter, maximum height 1.7m. It is considerably mutilated, but otherwise undisturbed; there is no evidence of a chamber.
Visited by OS (W D J) 21 April 1961 and (N K B) 22 August 1980.

GR corrected to above to cover cairn as marked on modern OS and scheduled area - HAW 2/2004

The scheduling was reassessed by Historic Environment Scotland in 2018. It was proposed that the description be updated and the scheduled area should be enlarged. <1>
