Full Description

NC25SE 6 2527 5196.

At NC 2527 5196, high on the NW shoulder of a hill, is a turf-covered stony mound with a silted depression, presumably an old exploratory excavation, on the summit. It is 5.0m in diameter and 0.7m high, and exhibits a regular plan form and profile. It may be a cairn, but more likely it is one of four or five stone clearance heaps associated with a hut circle 30m to the S (see NC25SE 3 ).
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (N K B) 15 July 1980.
