Full Description
An oval pebble, 3.3 ins by 2.6 ins by 1 in, with a central hour-glass perforation, from Achmelvich (NC 058246) is in Dunrobin Museum (Acc.No. X 88) (Info from A S Henshall {TS catalogue of Dunrobin Museum} 1966).
This is probably the ovoid macehead which Roe's (F Roe 1970) distribution map shows as coming from this vicinity.

The macehead was catalogued during an inventory of Dunrobin Castle Museum's collection in 2019 by ARCH. Listed under Acc. No. X88. It is on display in case 29, shelf C. <1>
