(NC 6751 0413) Stone Cup found A.D. 1864 (NAT)
OS 6"map, Sutherland, 2nd ed., (1907)
'In AD 1864 a stone cup with handle was found in the district of Muie a short distance south of the public road and is deposited in the Museum at Dunrobin.'
Name Book 1873.
The find spot of this stone cup is situated in an arable field at the base of the W side of a prominent natural hillock covered with bracken. No further information was obtained.
Visited by OS (W D J) 8 July 1963.

Information from MS of Catalogue of Dunrobin Museum by A S Henshall.
The cup was catalogued during an inventory of Dunrobin Castle Museum's collection in 2019 by ARCH. Listed under Acc. No.1864.1 and ARC 33. It was on display in case 25 shelf D, with a card describing the findspot as 'Muidh'. See attached photo taken by Michael Sharpe. <1>
