Full Description
NC63NE 45 6840 3949?.
At NC 6840 3949 is a hut circle in good condition construct- ed of earth-covered stones. The diameter is 17.0m and the walls are 2.0m thick and 0.5m high. The entrance is on the south side.
Visited by OS 4 August 1957.
No hut circle was found in, or near, the area indicated.
Visited by OS (E G C) 9 May 1961.
No change to last field report. The area is deep-ploughed and re-afforested but some disturbed heaps of stone, akin to field clearance mounds were noted.
