NC60NE 6 6805 0637

At NC 6804 0636 situated on a shelf on a SW-facing hillside, is a hut-circle. Associated cultivation is indicated by some heaps of stone clearance on the downslope to the south. The hut measures 11.0m in internal diameter and has an entrance in the SE; some inner facing slabs are visible in a wall otherwise reduced to a turf-covered rubble spread, 2.0 to 2.5m wide and up to 0.5m high.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
Visited by OS (J M) 2 October 1980.

On a bracken-covered terrace above the NE bank of the Abhainn Leataidh, and about 300m SE of the E corner of the head-dyke enclosing the township of Collinstown (NC60NE 12), there is a hut-circle which measures 11m in diameter within a rubble wall 1.2m thick and up to 0.7m high, in which occasional inner and outer facing-stones survive. The entrance is on the SE. There are traces of rig cultivation to the S of the hut-circle.
