Full Description
On a S facing slope above the Langdale Burn, is a heather covered hut circle set into the slope in the north and east. It measures about 11m N-S by 10m within a wall spread up to 4m wide and 0.5m high. The entrance is in the south. A small minor field system marked by clearance heaps, covers about a hectare around the hut. This area appears to have been re-cultivated in more recent times, with additional clearance on the earlier heaps and vague rig and furrow lines visible. It is probably outlying cultivation of the adjacent Bailtoire (NC64SE 62).
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 8 August 1978.
