Full Description

This group of monuments is now interpreted as follows: 'A', 'B' and 'C' are hut circles; 'D' is the remains of an old shieling bothy; 'E' is a natural pile of frost- fractured rock; and 'F' is a slight, heather-covered, amorphous spread of stones, probable clearance contemporary with hut circles.
'A', set in slope, is heather and turf-covered and much mutilated. It measures approximately 14.5m E-W by 13m transversely over a wall spread to 2.5m by 0.5m high, mainly in the NNW. N end of a shieling bothy footing, 7 by 3m, intrudes on the S arc of the hut.
'B', heather-covered, has an elevated stance in level ground. It measures 10.5 by 9.5m within a wall spread from 3.5 to 4.5m and up to 0.9m high. The entrance is in SE, on line of main axis. A prostrate slab, 2m long by 1.2m wide was noted just outside the entrance. In W side of hut interior is an angular upright stone, 0.8m high and 0.25m square in section, and a scatter of medium-sized slabs, probably remains of a shieling bothy.
'C', heather and turf-covered, is set in a spur projecting into marshy ground. It measures an estimated 7m diameter within walling in which slab-type construction can be seen, but which is otherwise obscure. The entrance is in E, with a lining slab in situ on N side. Several medium-sized slabs litter hut interior. There are footings of a shieling bothy, 6 by 3m, 6m S of hut.
Apart from alleged cairn (F), no trace of associated land use.

On E-facing slopes of Bad nan Glac, are the extremely mutilated remains of galleried structures, presumably 'wags' or aisled-houses, and a probable cairn.
'A', at ND 1195 3041, is a mutilated earth-and-stone mound with several large slabs protruding. It measures 14.7m N-S by 17.7m transversely and is 0.9m high. On comparative terms, this would appear to be the remains of a 'wag'. A small rectangular foundation (6 by 3m) abuts it on the S; 20m NW of this a low pile of stones measuring 4.4m E-W by 3m transversely, which seems to be the remains of a cairn (F).
'B', at ND 1200 3031, is the remains of a round aisled- house measuring 12m N-S by 13.5m transversely. It now appears as an earth-and-stone bank spread to 5.9m on E side with max height of 1.1m. In interior on W side is an orthostat (0.2 by 0.2 by 0.8m high) and there are one or two similar stones lying recumbent. The entrance, 0.9m wide, is in SE, and immediately outside it is a large flat stone, 2m long, 1.3m broad and 0.1m thick.
'C', at ND 1204 3030, is a large mutilated area measuring approx 24m N-S by 22m, apparently the remains of a 'wag'. The site is thickly covered with bracken. The interior contains many stones, and several upright slabs are in S edge of area forming a small compartment. Traces of a hut circle, some 9m diameter, formed by a course of stones set on edge, abut the site in slightly marshy ground on SE.
'D', at ND 1188 3025, is a mutilated pile of slab-like stones with two orthostats leaning towards each other in the centre, the larger being 0.6m high. This probably represents remains of another aisled-house, about 6m in diameter.
Some 50m NNW of 'D' is an area of much loose stone, measuring 13 by 9m over all, apparently the remains of another 'wag' (E). Among stones are a number of upright slabs.
