Probable field clearance heaps. RCAHMS noted only about half a dozen mounds.
RCAHMS 1911; Visited by OS (E G C) 13 May 1961.
There is no trace of "tumuli" or stone clearance heaps in the area indicated. The only "mound like" features visible are fortuitous arrangements of peat and rocks.
