Full Description
On a small natural eminence is a hut circle surviving as a platform measuring 15.5m in diameter overall and 0.6m high. For 3/4 of the periphery from S around to E a narrow, shallow channel averaging 1.2m wide and 0.2m deep has been scooped out. It has probably been caused by quarrying, possibly during the removal of a stone face. Some 30 m to NE is a semi-circle of turf-covered banking with an approximate internal diameter of 8.5m. The strong bank is spread to 3m wide and 0.5m high and partially enclosed area has been levelled. On balance this is almost certainly a hut circle almost half of which has been removed. There is no trace of associated cultivation.
