Full Description
Found during field investigation at NH 5790 9663 is a cairn measuring 6.0m in diameter and 0.6m high. It is edged by a kerb of stones except in the W where there is a slight mutilation. In the SW is a 'horn'-like projection about 4.0m long and 0.3m high, of uncertain origin.
Surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (I S S) 2 October 1973.
No change to previous field report.
Surveyed at 1:10 000 & 1:2500. Visited by OS (J M) 2 November 1976.
No change to existing report. Visited by RCAHMS (JRS) October 1989.
The site was Scheduled in 1992 with a nearby hut circle (see MHG9298), clearance cairns (see MHG41833) and burnt mound (see MHG12916).
