(NC 3860 6659) Hut Circle (NR) OS 25"map, (1972)
(A: NC 3859 6661; B: NC 3858 6656) Hut circles.
Visible on OS air photographs 68.57:100-1 (flown 15 April 1968)
A: A circular stone-walled hut circle, surveyed by the previous investigator (OS {A A} 22 July 1971) , measures about 7.5 m in diameter within a peat-obscured wall, spread to about 2.0 m wide and 0.2 m high. The ill defined entrance in the SE is partially blocked by two displaced boulders.
There is no trace of 'B', which is probably a fortuitous vegetation mark. Several stone clearance heaps occur in the vicinity, but no cultivation plots can be identified.
Visited by OS (A A) 22 July 1971 and (J B) 22 July 1971.
