Gerston: This name applies to a comfortable and commodious dwelling house (part of which is upwards of two centuries old) with steading, outhouses and gardens attached.
Name Book 1872.
The present house at Gerston is believed to be little over a century old. The earlier house, now unoccupied and part of the steading, clearly pre-dates it.
