Full Description
Site noted by Jill Harden, Field Monument Warden, in January 1991. She states,"Whilst out visiting sites for my Field Monument Warden job the following was brought to my attention last week: At NH642638, on an obvious kink in the contour line, are two prominent but unrecorded hut circles. They are c.12m in diameter, the stone walls surviving to <0.5m high." (letter to R.Gourlay 31.1.91). As a result an electricity pole which was about to be set into one of them was relocated to avoid damaging the sites.
J.Wood 25.2.2004
It was noted in a DBA by S Farrell in advance of the proposed Resolis Water Main renewal project in 2003 that the hut circles were not visible on vertical APs taken between 1946 and 1988. <1>
