Full Description

Hut Circle (NR) OS 6"map, (1969)

Separated from NH74NE 34 by a boggy valley, is an oval stone-walled hut measuring c. 16m from the NW through the 'simple' entrance in SE, by c. 12.5m transversely between the centres of a wall spread to c4m all round. A boulder in E arc is probably part of the outer wall face. To E of the hut are several denuded stone clearance heaps, probably from contemporary cultivation plots, of which details are obscured by use of the area for rough grazing.
Surveyed at 1:2500 (OS {N K B} 17 August 1964).
Visited by OS (A A) 29 January 1971.
