Full Description

In Glen Etive, near the river and on the farm of Invereolan, is a large upright stone, used as a shelter by men and cattle. In 1830, a shepherd rooting up the ground with his walking stick, unearthed c.thirty silver coins of Edward. Some were given to the late Mr Macdonald of Dalness and some to the parish minister.
NSA 1845

A very large boulder at NN 1569 5017 is almost certainly that where the coins were found. Local enquiries revealed no knowledge or traditions of the coins or their present whereabouts.
